DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A sheriff's deputy arrested a 40-year-old man on a charge of domestic violence after the sheriff's office received a call about a man beating on a door trying to get into a residence. The woman reported a relative forced his way into her home with an axe handle and started swinging it at her. She said he shoved her into a wall. The man was transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
