Voice of the people
We’ve kicked God out of America
I am confused over these wonderful people we have in Congress and the Senate and as president.
Maybe someone can tell me the reasoning behind these laws they are wanting to pass about guns so people can’t kill people.
Here we have murdered more than 50 million unborn children since Roe v Wade, which is legal passed by Congress and the Senate and president.
It is all wrong in both senses. My Bible tells me in Matt. 18:6 that anyone who harms a little one should have a millstone put around his neck and cast into the sea.
No wonder this weather is strange this year since we don’t follow God. He probably has said “Follow yourself. I won’t help you since you don’t want me.” We have kicked Him out.
Proper staffing could stop thefts
It is obvious from this newspaper’s listing of area crimes and arrests that merchandise thefts at local stores, especially in The Huntington mall, are increasing.
When an individual can simply walk out of a store carrying merchandise that is unpaid for, it is possible largely because the act is unseen by store personnel.
Many of these stores, especially the larger anchor stores, have chosen to station one employee in their men’s and women’s fashion departments who doubles as salesperson and cashier. This under-staffing has been brought about by those in management who believe it will reduce expenses, thereby increasing profit. Instead, the store becomes a self-service business resulting in great opportunity for in-store theft. A sufficient number of alert and attentive sales staff could eliminate this problem.
The satisfied customer is the most important person in the store. A well-trained, courteous sales staff can also help bring about the all-important customer loyalty that is the very basis for the continued success of the business.
