US must turn its economy around

Can America survive Obama for four more years as a nation?

With the economic climate such as it is now, I am beginning to have grave doubts about the nation's economic future.

The policies of Obama could possibly put our nation at great risk of defaulting on its debts and its obligations. When a nation cannot borrow any more money to meet its obligations, where does it go to get the funds it needs in order to sustain itself? It cannot print its way out of debt without causing massive inflation, devaluation of the dollar and higher prices. We might actually all go off the "fiscal cliff." Some of us have already.

Will all of the idiots in Congress really ever learn anything from history? Or are they just simply determined to destroy the economic foundations of our country?

Maybe Obama is hell-bent on doing just that all by himself, piece by piece. A good book for people to read concerning economics is "Crashing the Dollar," and another titled "Inflation Deception" by Craig Smith would enlighten everyone and give fresh insights into our economic system. Everything in some way is connected to something else in a relative way. For every cause, there is an effect.

If our nation honors God, we will endure and prosper. If we turn our backs on God, we fall by the wayside.

ATV riders should respect private land

I would like to clear up some misinformation for those of you who ride four-wheelers, motorcycles, SUVs and any other vehicle on gas lines. The gas companies have an easement (right of way) to put in and maintain the gas line. The property actually belongs to the PRIVATE landowners. Therefore, when you ride on a gas line without permission, you are TRESPASSING on PRIVATE property. Trespassing is against the law, and you can be prosecuted. I suggest that you get permission from the landowner before your next joy ride.

We have had fences cut and torn down and gates rammed with vehicles, allowing our livestock to get out on other people's property and had to pay for those damages, just so you can joy ride on something others have worked hard to maintain for years. We can no longer have any livestock because of your carelessness. Would you like it if I drove through your yard or fence, leaving your gate open and letting your dog or cat out? Where has respect gone for others' property today?

Maybe you were not aware that this is a problem or know you are on someone else's land. Next time, you ride over a gas line and someone stops you and asks what you are doing on THEIR property, do not get smart and sassy. Show some respect.
