Obama a good dad, bad president

After receiving an e-mail from Michelle Obama about what a good father her husband was, I wrote her back and told her just what I thought about her husband. I told her I thought he might be a good father but not a very good president.

I admitted with great gladness that I did not vote for him; I voted for a hero, not a handout. I also feel he is trying to shove the Muslims (some of his decedents) down our throats and they are the ones who are killing us. We are a Christian nation, no matter how much he apologizes to other countries that we are, and this country was founded on Godly principals. He believes in "killing babies," murder (abortion) or however you choose to state it. Life begins with conception and partial birth abortion is nothing more than murder. I believe a child is a child, not a choice.

I also believe that in order for a man to hold the office of president, he first must be a citizen of the United States (something that has never been proven to me of your husband) and that a man should have to serve in the armed forces.

I will say that not a day goes by that I do not pray for Obama, first of all to be saved, second to make godly decisions and ask our God (not Muhammad) to give him the wisdom and guidance to run this great country.

MCTC should be located downtown

Rarely does a city get a chance to address two monumental choices within a 10- year period which can reshape a city. The first was Pullman Square. The second is the placement of MCTC.

These seminal choices can propel Huntington well into the 21st century in an extremly positive way if the right choice is made. The interesting thing is we instinctively know where the college should be. Remember the word "community" is in its name, therefore it needs to be "in" the community.

We know the disconnect that exists when we place things outside the central city core. Your recent editorial is spot on and we at Pullman Square support placement of MCTC downtown.
