MU men's baseball team is left behind
Marshall University, you spend $30 million on a football stadium. You spend $20 million to build Cam Henderson Center. You spend $14 million to build an indoor practice facility. You spend $5.4 million to build a soccer complex.
Where is Marshall University men's baseball team's slice of the loot to build a baseball stadium to play in?
Marshall University Board of Governors, wake up and smell the roses before it's too late. Marshall University men's baseball team always seems to be left out in the cold.
Man up, Stephen J. Kopp. It is your duty to support Marshall men's baseball team.
Columnist wrong about IRS debacle
A recent column asserted that the IRS was "just doing its job." Everything was all a needless media uproar and should all be forgotten. The columnist overlooked all the admitted testimony. The same liberal groups were not subjected to the same harsh treatment. The president's brother's group received its approval in a month. Is that fair?
When a particular group is subjected to attack and punishment from an arm of the government, which has been proven in this instance, then it is an outrage and should be stopped, not encouraged. By the columnist's logic, the SS guards at Auschwitz were just "doing their jobs." He's probably equally as proud of them as he is of the IRS bullies.

Help Wheeling win its first dog park
Greetings from the northern panhandle! Wheeling is now locked in a battle that Huntington fought and won. We are one of the finalists in the Bark for your Park contest sponsored by Petsafe. Currently, we are third in the voting against some stiff competition. The city of Wheeling would like to humbly ask our southern "cousins" to support our efforts to bring a first-ever dog park to Wheeling.
You folks know the drill, and your voting daily for Wheeling would help to keep us on even keel. Thank you for voting and any advice your city can provide in this endeavor. Please help and wish us luck! Also, please like us on Facebook at Wheeling Dog Park or wheelingdogpark.com.
