Congress considers big changes to postal service
The U.S. Congress in currently considering measures to reform the U.S. Postal Service. The bill that is most troubling is HB-2309. This bill could end Saturday delivery and could end door-to-door mail delivery. If passed you would have to go to a corner location to retrieve your mail.
The Postal Service would erect thousands upon thousands of these neighbor Delivery and Collection Box Units (NDCBU), or "cluster boxes," across the country. Each household would require a key to retrieve the mail.
If this is enacted, it would most likely never be reversed. If you oppose these ideas, it is important that you contact your representatives in Congress. In the Huntington area they are as follows:

Santa pictures should be free
Sadly, Santa now requires payment at Huntington Mall. Children may sit with Santa, but no personal photos. I was informed that "this is a business and security would confiscate my camera."
Can't management and retailers pay for Santa as a courtesy to their customers? If a photographer would like to offer professional photos for a fee, fine. But leave that choice to the customer. Some folks barely have money for Christmas.
Next we'll have to buy hay for Santa's reindeer. Shame on you, Santa, and Huntington Mall management.
