Recommended book is not truthful
It's refreshing to see that J.P. Grace has looked down past his upturned nose and found a way out of the quagmire of politics. Read a book "It's Even Worse than it Looks" by left-wing loon Thomas Mann and Norman Ornstein, a secret conservative who hates Republicans and conservatives. I say they are hacks because if it were up to these two, the Republican party would be dissolved so that Socialist Democrats could finally lead us to Utopia.
But I love the way Grace recommends this book by quoting Machiavelli (the wise counsel of). Though I Googled for the quote "see things as they actually are -- not as you would like them to be," darn if I could find that quote. But Machiavelli is very quotable. "The end justifies the means" and "He who seeks to deceive will always find someone who is willing to be deceived" and finally "Politics knows no morals."
So, the honorable Mr. Grace finally gets to his book-induced epiphany, every thing wrong in America is because the right-wing will not do what our spend-and-waste president wants to do. That's right, over 20 million people unemployed, growth at 1.3 percent, no budget in four years, crony capitalism, useless spending on wind and solar energy, bailing out the auto unions at the expense of firing thousands of non-union workers, killing the coal industry, spending borrowed money like a drunken sailor to the tune of $6 trillion, and so on, is the right-wing's fault because they are trying to halt some of this.
There are any number of books out there which will tell you what you want to hear. Mr. Grace has done us a disservice trying to pawn this malicious little book as being truthful.
