US ignores fact of aborted babies

Last week our government was ready to go to war with Syria because they used chemical weapons, killing over 400 children, while ignoring the fact that over 3,000 babies are aborted EACH DAY in the United States using chemicals or other surgical means.

Education will slow domestic violence

Thank you for the Sept. 9 article, "Domestic violence remains too prevalent," concerning domestic violence and the efforts that are being made to help prevent it.

As a former victim of domestic violence, I can attest to the significant lack of action people take despite their awareness that someone is a victim of abuse.

What will help prevent domestic violence is to study signs of physical and emotional abuse and educate the public about it. With this knowledge in hand, people should then be encouraged to simply observe and report any suspicion of domestic violence.

Domestic violence will be around forever, but as a community, we can all help stop abusive situations from escalating by reporting it so that it can be stopped during its early stages.
