High school dance turned into debacle
On Saturday, Sept. 21, Boyd County High School held its annual Homecoming Dance, which my granddaughter attended. She is a freshman, and this was her first high school dance. She had a miserable time. Her parents and I later found out why.
According to my granddaughter and several parents who were there as chaperones, there were several young ladies who were acting inappropriately for a school-sponsored function. Without being graphic, I'll just say that there was flagrant nudity involved with their "dancing."
And what's worse, the parent chaperones say that the school administrators saw and were fully aware of what was going on.
The parent chaperones and I will be attending the next Boyd County Board of Education meeting, where we plan to address this issue. But it's a sad day when a high school dance turns into a X-rated event.
