Time to vote in new school board in Wayne County

For years the communities of Ceredo and Kenova have had to live with huge changes in our school system made by the Wayne County Board of Education. Now they are rearranging our schools and moving some of our students to Buffalo and Vinson Middle Schools.

Aren't these schools already overcrowded? And this is going to be hard for those students with a longer bus ride and parents having to arrange their schedules to pick up children who participate in school activities. This is not a popular decision in these communities.

We need a new elementary school and we need to find a way to fund it. We also need a new school board and hopefully not one of these current members get voted in again. They already took the high schools of C-K, Vinson and Buffalo. It is too bad we can't impeach them before they make any more of these ridiculous decisions.

Columnist's conservative views are irresponsible

I very much concur with Mr. Robert Fisher's Oct. 20th column regarding Mark Caserta's irresponsible (and incorrect) articles in The Herald-Dispatch. I suggest the Herald-Dispatch publish a separate paper regarding the far right's crazy religious/political thoughts and let Mr. Caserta be the editor.

When I see his column, I simply turn the page and move on. I, too, am sick and tired of his anti-Obama rantings and how we're all going to hell in a hand-basket. If The Herald-Dispatch wishes to continue his article, ask that he report on something he might know about.
