Craven A. Baumgardner, mechanical superintendent, and William M. Scaggs, mail room foreman, retired in 1964 after 59 years of service each. The began work with the company in 1905. R.J. Baumgardner was announced new production chief, and William Clark, maintanance foreman.

On Sunday, Jan. 17, 1909, the first edition of The Herald-Dispatch hit the streets in Huntington, and we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of that event in 2009.
