Average high temperature: Lower 40s in Janurary to the upper 80s during July into August. The summertime high increases with the amount of precipitation. Humidity can reach uncomfortable levels during the summer, especially in the river valleys.
Average low temperature: Mid 20s in January to the mid 60s during July into August.
Annual rainfall: Average amount is 42 inches. It's fairly evenly distributed throughout the year, but there is a tendency for summer months to be the wettest and the autumn months to be the driest.
July is typically the wettest month with 4.5 inches of rainfall. September and October usually see the least amount of rain. Both average about 2.75 inches.
Annual snowfall: Average amount is 20 to 25 inches. Rural hilltops average slightly larger amounts.
Autumn color peaks: Late October.
First/last freeze: Late October/Late April.
