Air date set for feud documentary
Trifecta Productions films a scene from the upcoming History Channel documentary about the Hatfields and McCoys in mid-March at Heritage Farm Museum and Village.

HUNTINGTON -- The History Channel has set the air date for the two-hour documentary film, "America's Greatest Feud: Hatfields and McCoys," which was partially filmed in Huntington.
Joe Murphy of Huntington-based Trifecta Productions, which filmed interviews and reenactments for the documentary, said he learned Monday afternoon that the two-hour documentary will premiere at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, on the History Channel, and will be seen before the entire six-hour miniseries rolls that evening.
History Channel's miniseries, which stars Kevin Costner as Devil Anse Hatfield and Bill Paxton as Randall McCoy, will premiere at 9 p.m. Monday, May 28, May 29 and 30.
Both the documentary film and the miniseries were produced by Huntington native and Marshall graduate Darrell Fetty, a veteran Hollywood actor and writer.
Fetty, who plays Doc Rutherford in the miniseries, will be in Huntington next week for a private event featuring some clips of both the miniseries (which also stars Huntington native Jonathan Fredrick as Jefferson McCoy) and the documentary, for which re-enactment scenes were shot at Heritage Farm Museum and Village. The screening will be at The Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center.
