New Pharmacy Technician Program Announced by the Tri-State Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS)
The Tri-State Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS) will be offering an Associate in Applied Science (Pharmacy Technology) beginning in early 2009 with classes in downtown Huntington.
Huntington, WV -- The Tri-State Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS) will offer an innovative Pharmacy Technician program that can be completed in two semesters with an affordable tuition. The AAS
degree in Pharmacy Technology at TIPS is designed to meet all of the course requirements to take national certification exam to become a certified Pharmacy Technician. TIPS innovative program allows students to take morning or afternoon classes to adjust with their other activities.
TIPS Pharmacy Technician program is launched in response to the rising demand for well trained pharmacy technicians. The U. S. Department of Labor predicts that there will be 100,000 new openings for pharmacy technicians in the next 7 years. The earnings of pharmacy technicians are expected to rise from already excellent level and far exceed many similar professions.
According to the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) high quality training in Pharmacy Technology assures that pharmacy technicians are able to work more effectively with pharmacists to offer better patient care and service.
