August 06, 2009 @ 05:22 PM

St. Mary's Regional Spine Center offers comprehensive, coordinated care provided by an experienced team of physicians, nurses and therapists. We offer an inter-disciplinary approach to spine care, with the initial assessment performed by a physician who specializes in spine and musculoskeletal disorders.  Our program combines the expertise of surgeons, radiologists, primary care physicians, pain and rehabilitation specialists, & many others.

Our experienced Neurosurgeons have over 50 years of combined experience in spine care, and utilize image guided neuro navigational and minimally invasive techniques.  Neurosurgeons at St. Mary's have performed nearly 1000 image guided neurosurgical procedures since 1999.  The dedicated neurosurgical team is specially trained in the use of this technology.

St. Mary's dedicated physicians and neurosurgeons work as a team and are well-known and trusted throughout the region. The team approach to providing this high level of care begins even before patients arrive at the Spine Center door.  The process begins with obtaining a detailed spine history by telephone interview.  The physiatrist will examine the patient and review his assessment, along with test results and decides on the proper avenue of treatment, whether the patient needs surgery or alternative means of therapy and pain management.  If surgery is needed, our board certified neurosurgeons, who perform hundreds of spine surgeries yearly, are readily available to serve you.  Throughout the process, the patient remains involved in the decision making by receiving extensive, in-depth education about their condition and treatment options. The choice is obvious when it comes to advanced spine care. The St. Mary's Regional Spine Center has been providing cutting edge spine care longer than another other health facility in the Tri-State, and is the obvious choice for spine care in the region.

Not all back pain sufferers will need surgery.  The right spine center will offer both surgical and non-surgical treatments that may include:
Minimally invasive surgery
