YOUTH SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS
West Virginia teams earn three victories
BARBOURSVILLE -- West Virginia teams picked up three pool play wins Friday in the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships.
First, the U-16 Boys WVSC Elite Titans got things off to a strong start with a 2-1 win over Black Watch Premier (R.I.) on Field 6 at the Barboursville Soccer Complex.
Meanwhile on Field 3, the U-15 Boys WVSC Wizards scored a second-half goal to earn a 2-1 win over the Seacoast United Maine Crew.
In girls' action, the U-12 WV United Soccer Club Elite U-12 Girls recorded a 2-1 win over the FC-STING (NY-E).
