In-state teams earned four victories

BARBOURSVILLE -- One day after getting shut out, the WVUSC Shox came back with an impressive 4-0 win over Match Fit Chelsea (N.J.) in the U-14 Girls Division in Saturday's pool play action.

It was one of four wins for the state of West Virginia on the afternoon.

A pair of West Virginia teams moved to 2-0 in pool play following impressive wins on Saturday.

The WVSC Elite Titans earned a 2-0 win over Far Post Premier (Vt.) in U-16 Boys action, and the WV United Soccer Club Elite also got a 2-0 win.

With wins on Sunday, both will advance to Monday's semifinal action.

In other action, the WVSC Rowdies Premier earned a 1-1 draw with CRUSA/FC Bucks Freedom (Pa.-E).

Of note, eight of nine West Virginia girls teams cracked the scoreboard on Saturday with some teams notching their first goals of the tournament.
