Bridgeport beats G.W. 31-0
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Bridgeport smothered Felix Mollett and the George Washington offense, holding the Patriots to just 85 yards as the No. 3 Indians rolled to a 31-0 victory Saturday in the Class AAA quarterfinals.
Bridgeport (12-0) will face No. 2 South Charleston in next week's semifinal round.
Corey Wagner rushed for a game-high 109 yards, and Alex Sutton added 99 yards on 16 carries and scored twice. Jake Stafford added a 25-yard touchdown reception.
The No. 6 Patriots (9-3) fell behind 17-0 at halftime.
BLUEFIELD 25, SHERMAN 18: Brad Fox gained 111 yards on 16 carries to lead sixth-seeded Bluefield's ball-control offense in a 25-18 victory Friday night in Class AA.
The Beavers (10-2) will take on the Magnolia-Keyser winner in next week's semifinals. Sherman (11-1) finished with the most wins in school history.
Bluefield gained 263 yards on 54 carries and was only forced to punt once.
