H.S. baseball: Ashland tops Fairland

PROCTORVILLE, Ohio -- Ashland had just five hits, but also scored five times Monday in a 5-3 baseball victory at Fairland.

Cameron Fritz hit a double for the Tomcats (14-7) in their seventh consecutive win.

Kyle Sowards and Luke Phillips both had two hits for Fairland (10-6). Matt Aliff had one RBI.

Fairland is at home again Tuesday for a 5 p.m. game against Coal Grove.
