North Marion, GW No. 1 in AP poll again
HUNTINGTON -- North Marion and George Washington remained No. 1 this week in The Associated Press high school girls and boys basketball polls respectively.
North Marion's girls held the top spot after defeating Elkins, Huntington High and Fairmont Senior.
Huntington High slipped one place to No. 5.
George Washington's boys protected their undefeated record with wins over South Charleston and Hurricane. Logan's boys are No. 2 in Class AAA.
St. Marys took over the top spot in Class A girls with Huntington St. Joe dropping one place.
Parkersburg Catholic replaced Charleston Catholic at No. 1 in Class A boys. Huntington St. Joe fell from fourth to No. 7.
Wyoming East boys and Summer County girls are No. 1 in Class AA.
