Ironton's Carter 1st team all-Ohio

HUNTINGTON -- Ironton Fighting Tigers guard Zac Carter was a first team selection on The Associated Press Division III All-Ohio boys basketball team.

Trey Fletcher from Ironton made the all-state third team

Carter is a 5-foot-9 senior with a 24.1 scoring average. Fletcher, a 6-6 senior forward, averages 20.5 points.

Austin McBee from Minford made the second team.

Players receiving special mention recognition included Javon Thompson from Chesapeake and Jaylien Carter from Portsmouth.

The honorable mention list included Trevor White of Ironton, Brandon Barnes from South Point, Conor Markins from Coal Grove and Dylan Miller of Wheelersburg.

DIVISION IV: Justin Mahlmeister from Ironton St. Joe, a 6-4 senior with an 18.0 points-per-game scoring average, was a Division IV All-Ohio second team pick.

Special mention selections included Justin Crager from Sciotoville Community, Max Carnahan from Reedsville Eastern and Tristen Wolfe of Racine Southern.

Tyler Rowe from Symmes Valley received honorable mention along with Patrick Bias from Sciotoville Community and Brayden Greer from South Gallia.
