HUNTINGTON – High school golf season is not over for Chesapeake's Drew Oxley and Coal Grove's Brent Morgan.

Oxley and Morgan advanced to the Ohio High School State Tournament this week with strong showings in district tournaments.

Oxley shot a 73 in the Division II qualifier at Pickaway Country Club in Circleville.

Morgan fired a 74 in the Division III qualifier at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette. Morgan earned his third straight state trip by making birdies on four of his final seven holes.

Neither Chesapeake nor Coal Grove qualified their teams for the state.

The Division II state tournament is Tuesday and Wednesday at Northstar Golf Club in Sunbury, Ohio.

The Division III tournament will be held at the same time on Ohio State's Scarlet Course in Columbus. Division I qualifiers also will be there.
