Point Pleasant defeated at Morgantown, 49-28
MORGANTOWN -- Shane Commodore ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns Saturday as No. 5 Morgantown (9-2) defeated No. 12 Point Pleasant, 49-28, in a Class AAA football playoff game at Pony Lewis Field.
Commodore and Alex Weidman, who added 123 yards and two touchdowns, effectively filled the void left by injured star running back Chazzy Thomas.
MHS quarterback Mark Johnson completed 7 of 8 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jarret Hockenberry threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Stone Wolfley, who had 50 receiving yards. Blaine Stewart caught three passes for 41 yards.
Quarterback Aden Yates led Point Pleasant (8-3), completing 19 of 31 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Chase Walton caught seven passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, and Brycen Reymond caught four for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Marquez Griffin rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

Quarterback Troy Anderson ran for a touchdown and threw for 82 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown pass to Cullin Cutright. Anthony Bonamcio intercepted two passes, returning one 40 yards for a touchdown.
EAST HARDY 60, WHEELING CENTRAL 34: East Hardy knocked off the two-time defending Class A state champion.
Shawn Skovron passed for 362 yards and five touchdowns, plus two rushing touchdowns and three two-point conversions.

GREENBRIER WEST 48, MEADOW BRIDGE 6: Tyler Parker of Greenbrier West ran for three touchdowns and intercepted two passes for the Cavaliers in a Class A victory.
Malik Boatwright ran for two touchdowns and threw a TD pass.
SCOTT 46, WYOMING EAST 16: Robert Bias ran for 130 yards and one touchdown and Cameron Loftus added two more scores as No. 7 Scott earned a Class AA victory.
Loftus added 61 yards on six carries for the Skyhawks (8-3), who forced five turnovers against the Warriors (7-4).
Scott's Cody Brown completed 5 of 11 passes for 85 yards and one TD, a 29-yard hookup with Michael Belcher (five catches, 57 yards). Tyler Jude also threw a 37-yard scoring pass to Dylan Dehart.
