Eddy leads South over North, 91-82
SOUTH CHARLESTON -- George Washington High School guard Luke Eddy made four 3-point shots and scored 24 points Friday night, leading the South squad in a 91-82 victory in the North-South All-Star Basketball Classic.
The 6-foot-1 Eddy is an NCAA Division I recruit headed to Elon University.
Paid attendance was 550 spectators in the South Charleston Community Center.
Austin Brewer from Class A state champion Tug Valley and Angelo Sirianni both followed with 13 points while Brett Morris from Webster County and Josh Martin from Greenbrier West both netted 10 points for the South.
The North was led by Travon Horton from Fairmont Senior with 16 points.
Martinsburg teammates Jalen Lewis and state player of the year Donte' Grantham scored with 14 and 13 points respectively for the North in their return to the Kanawha Valley where they led the Tigers to the Class AAA state championship in March. Grahtham plans to enroll at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va.
Doug Dennis from Parkersburg South tossed in 11 points for the North.
