BECKLEY -- Kaylynn Petrisin's goal in the 62nd minute held up and unbeaten University beat Hurricane, 1-0, Saturday in the girls state Class AAA soccer championship game.

Neither team managed much offense. Hurricane, which had beaten Jefferson 1-0 in the semifinals, had three shots on goal and University, a 1-0 semifinal winner over George Washington, had two.

Parkersburg avenged a 2-1 loss in the regular season to Woodrow Wilson (16-4-3).
