Hurricane, Winfield girls advance to soccer finals
WINFIELD -- Hurricane and Winfield will meet in the Class AAA, Region IV, Section 1 girls soccer finals.
Hurricane (16-2-1) defeated Nitro, 3-0, on Tuesday while Winfield beat St. Albans, 6-0.
The championship match is 7 p.m., Thursday, at Winfield.
Kayli McKnight, Brittany Minor and Abby Watson scored goals for Hurricane. Goalkeeper Callie McClanahan faced no shots as the Redskins recorded their 13th shutout of the season.
