State tournament opens
VIENNA, W.Va. -- Two area high school teams in the West Virginia state softball tournament are looking to continue the tradition they built last year as state champions.
Knights edge Redskins, 1-0
Jacob Beahrs' two-out RBI single scored Cole Tilley in the top of the eighth inning and Seth Kinker shut the door on Hurricane in the bottom of the eighth to give Cabell Midland a 1-0 victory in the Class AAA, Region IV semifinal at Lola Meeks Field.
