Herd faces another tough schedule
Marshall will kick things off in Morgantown against a potential Top 10 team in Geno Smith and West Virginia in what very well could be the final installment of the Friends of Coal Bowl.

Marshall still in C-USA hunt
Losing back-to-back games didn't knock Marshall University off the men's basketball map. Conference USA is still wide-open and ready for anyone to take control, although Marshall's stay in first place didn't last long.
Two vacancies still exist on Marshall's football coaching staff.
Led the Knights to victories over Memphis and UAB, averaging 16.5 points on 59.1 percent shooting, against two teams UCF defeated for the first time.

MU women fall to UCF, 55-44
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall's women's basketball team saw its losing streak reach three games after the Thundering Herd couldn't overcome a strong second-half showing from UCF in a 55-44 loss on Sunday afternoon.
HUNTINGTON -- Falling behind by 16 in the first half was too much for Marshall's Thundering Herd to overcome.
Marshall rally falls short
Dennis Tinnon's first 3-point field goal of the season put Marshall's Thundering Herd within one point of Southern Miss. Unfortunately, the late effort wasn't enough, and the Herd suffered a 67-63 defeat.
