Diffenderfer was named to the All-Conference USA second team selected by College Sports Madness.Diffenderfer, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound senior from Mount Juliet, Tenn., played for two seasons as the Marshall first baseman after a transfer from Columbia State Junior College.He batted .298 this season with four home runs, 30 runs batted in and 53 hits with 11 doubles and one triple. He was fourth in the conference with an on-base percentage of .402.As a fielder he had 402 putouts while making only five errors.
