Golf coaches honor Marshall's Kerns

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University golfer Nathan Kerns earned a spot on the NCAA Division I PING All-Midwest Region team.

Kerns was joined on the Golf Coaches Association of America honors team by 24 other golfers. A total of 155 players across six regions -- Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West -- received all-region honors.

The Thundering Herd senior from Ironton completed his college career with a 22nd-place finish at the NCAA regional tournament on the Scarlet Course at Ohio State.

He set the Marshall career record with a 71.9 season stroke average.
