Caldwell takes MU Alum 5K distance race

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University men's cross country runner David Caldwell was Saturday's winner of the MU Alum 5K distance race.
Caldwell, a 21-year-old from Dunbar, W.Va., had a time of 15 minutes, six seconds.
Female winner Jorden Thornton, a 17-year-old Cabell Midland High School senior who runs for the Knights, was 32nd overall with a time of 19:33.
The morning race had 220 finishers.
