Yeager, Schmitt named student-athletes of the year

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University student-athlete of the year award winners are baseball player Adam Yeager of Huntington and women's tennis player Kellie Schmitt.

Yeager will receive the Ed Starling Award as the top male athlete. Schmitt is the recipient of the Dot Hicks Award for female athletes.

The awards will be presented Sept. 13 during the Marshall football game against Memphis.
