Herd visits Radford for four-game series

RADFORD, Va. -- Marshall's Thundering Herd and the Radford Highlanders are set for a four-game baseball series at the RU Baseball Stadium.

Marshall (9-10) has a two-game win streak that includes Tuesday's 8-0 defeat of West Virginia. Radford enters the weekend at 10-9.

Games are Friday at 3:30 p.m., a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.


GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Marshall is joined by three of the nation's Top 50 teams in the Furman Intercollegiate men's golf tournament Friday through Sunday at the Furman University Golf Club.

Ranked teams in the 21-school field include No. 14 North Florida, No. 44 Chattanooga and No. 49 Virginia Tech.

Marshall's lineup is Nathan Kerns, Jeremy Rogers, Brian Anania, Tas Sipowski and Logan Lagodich with Jacob Miller playing as an individual.


ORLANDO -- Marshall (15-12, 3-3 Conference USA) is at UCF (18-14, 1-5) for a weekend softball series.

Friday's game begins at 5:30 p.m. A Saturday doubleheader has games at 1 and 3 p.m.


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Marshall is competing Friday and Saturday in the Florida State Relays.

The Thundering Herd 4x100-meter relay team of Cyrstal Walker, Delkira Maybin, Moriah Njoku and Shanice Johnson is coming off a school-record time of 45.97 seconds last weekend at the Bulls Invitational in Tampa, Fla.

Vanessa Jules, the school record holder in several events, is entered in the high jump. Jules tied her school mark last weekend of 1.78 meters.


LAS VEGAS -- Marshall (7-8) is in Las Vegas for women's tennis matches Friday against UNLV and Sunday against SMU, both beginning at 1 p.m.
