ECU defeats Evansville, makes title game of CIT

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina had no problem with Evansville in the semi-final of the men's basketball Collegeinsider.com Tournament Saturday, defeating the Aces 81-58.

Maurice Kemp led the Pirates (22-12) with 20 points on 10-of-17 shooting, while also grabbing 12 rebounds in the contest.

Miguel Paul also had 19 points for ECU, shooting 7-of-11 including 3-for-5 from 3-point range.

Evansville (21-15) shot 31 percent for the game, and 1-of-15 from behind the arc.

Ryan Colt led the Aces with 12 points.

East Carolina will face Weber State in the CIT championship game Tuesday, April 2. The tip off time and game location has not been announced.

Weber State (30-6) beat Northern Iowa 59-56 on Saturday to earn the right to oppose the Pirates in the championship game.

Davion Berry scored 15 points, Scott Bamforth added 14 for the Wildcats, who compete in the Big Sky Conference.
