MU's AD search committee named

Purchase this photoHUNTINGTON -- Marshall University Board of Governors member John Hess of Barboursville is chairman of a search committee that will select the school's next athletic director.
Marshall president Stephen J. Kopp announced the 10-member committee Thursday.
The other committee members are:
A. Michael Perry, MU Board of Governors
Robert Bookwalter, Ph.D., MU faculty athletic representative
Camilla Brammer, Ph.D., MU faculty senate representative
Shari Clarke, MU Vice President for Multicultural Affairs
Sen. Robert Plymale, D-Wayne, Executive Director, Rahall Transportation Institute
Larry Tweel, MU Foundation representative
Sean Hornbuckle, MU Student Government Association president
Mark George, MU Big Green Scholarship Foundation representative
Steve Ellis, Charleston MU Quarterback Club representative
"We appreciate the service of these committee members as we conduct this national search for the next athletic director at Marshall University," Kopp said in a news release.
"I especially want to thank John Hess for his leadership in chairing the committee.
"The committee will be working with our search firm, Eastman & Beaudine Inc., to select the best candidate possible," Kopp said.
Marshall is replacing Bob Marcum, who is stepping down when his contract expires June 30.
An interim athletic director will be announced in the near future, the release said.
