MU athletes to recruit for Big Green at SMU game

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University student-athletes are assisting with a Big Green Scholarship Foundation membership drive.

Athletes will be greeting people entering Cam Henderson Center on Level E for the 7 p.m., Wednesday, men's basketball game against SMU to ask for their support of the fundraising organization for scholarships. A signup table will be located on Level E where people can join the Big Green and be entered in a drawing for two courtside seats for Saturday's game against UCF.

Current Big Green members will receive two priority points for each new member they refer.

Big Green memberships begin at $50.

Thundering Herd student-athletes scheduled to work the table are:

Football -- Rakeem Cato, Blake Frohnapfel, Eric Frohnapfel, D.J. Hunter;

Men's soccer -- Jahvon Allison, Logan Powell, Jesus Mafouta, Tyler Atwell, Connor Marino;

Volleyball -- Sammie Bane, Sacha Byous-McConnell, Laura Der, Jillian Shemanski, Jaylene Berrien;

Track and field -- Molly Miloscia;

Cross country -- Adam Frohnapfel;

Women's golf -- Kristyn Morrone, Caitlyn Morrone, Korakot Simsiriwong, Rachel Thompson.
