Herd well represented in Super Bowl

HUNTINGTON -- Conference USA is represented by seven players in Super Bowl XLVII and four are from the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Marshall has Albert McClellan and Omar Brown with the Baltimore Ravens while C.J. Spillman and Randy Moss play for the San Francisco 49ers.

Only the Miami Hurricanes (seven) and Oregon Ducks (five) have more players in the game than Marshall.

The other C-USA alumni playing Sunday are Baltimore fullback Vonta Leach (East Carolina), San Francisco fullback Bruce Miller (UCF) and Baltimore offensive lineman Jah Reid (UCF).
