Marshall alumni to play game Saturday
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University's annual Men's Basketball Alumni Game is Saturday in Cam Henderson Center.
Admission is free for the 4:30 p.m. game, followed by a reception for players and fans in the Gullickson Hall gym where some of their teams practiced. Cam Henderson Center will be cleared after the alumni game and fans will need to purchase tickets for a 7 p.m. game between UAB and Marshall.
General admission tickets for weekend Conference USA games are $15. An online ticket special for this game has $5 tickets available at HerdZone.com by using the promotional code "UPWARD."
Players expected to attend include J.R. VanHoose, Terry Childers, Park Beam, John Milhoan, Nick Arvon, Stuff Lynch, Pat Brady, Ray Frazier, Shawn Moore, Blaine Henry, Don Perry, Hughes Booher, Chris Gray, Dick Wildt, Jesse Oglesby, Mark Patton, Reggie Giles, Adam Zimmerman, Tim Meadows, Frank Martin, Tink Brown, Dan Goheen, Phil Carter, Chad Barry, Josh Perkey, Tim Dagostine, Brian Faulknier, Jack Freeman, John Brown and George Lambros.
Alumni players will be introduced during the UAB-Marshall game.
Honorary coaches for the alumni game are former assistant coach/administrator Charlie Hagley and Tri-State sports radio personality Woody Woodrum, a former Marshall equipment manager.
