Marshall softball team beats Radford, 5-1
RADFORD, Va. -- Marshall scored four runs with two outs in the eighth inning and defeated Radford, 5-1, on a blustery Wednesday afternoon at RU Softball Field.
With runners on second and third, Katalin Lucas doubled down the leftfield line to give the Thundering Herd (11-12) its first lead of the contest. Radford's run came in the first on a solo homer by Jesse Hutchens.
