HUNTINGTON -- Erin Simmons from the Marshall University women's soccer team was named to the All-Conference USA third team and the C-USA All-Freshman Team.

Thundering Herd senior Sarah Vinson was selected for the C-USA All-Academic first team for the third consecutive season.

Simmons, a forward from Gahanna, Ohio, shared the Marshall goal-scoring lead this season with six, including three match winners.

Vinson ended her career with a 4.0 cumulative GPA while studying pre-dietetics. The midfielder from Amelia, Ohio, set the school record by starting 76 career matches.
