Lakers sign Dre Kane
HUNTINGTON -- Undrafted free agent Dre Kane, who finished his college basketball eligibility last season at Iowa State after playing for three seasons with the Marshall Thundering Herd, signed an NBA summer league contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to an ESPN.com blog.
Kane, 25, averaged 17.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game in his senior season at Iowa State.
Los Angeles begins its summer league schedule July 11 in Las Vegas.
