Familiar scenario for Marshall
HUNTINGTON — Marshall University’s football team is experiencing a bit of de ja vu this week.
It was just last season when Marshall was reeling after a 59-17 loss to Tulsa that left the Thundering Herd on the cusp of missing out on being eligible for a bowl game.
The opponent the following week? Memphis.
This season, Marshall (3-5, 2-2 Conference USA) is once again in a deep hole after a loss to UCF (54-17) with four games to go as the Tigers (1-7, 1-3) come to Huntington for a 2 p.m., Saturday, game in Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
