MU Roundup: Green squad leads World Series, 2-1
HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University's Green squad holds a 2-1 lead on the White team in the Thundering Herd baseball annual intra-squad World Series.
Aaron Bossi is the leading hitter in the series, going 5-for-10. Bossi and Travis Myers both have driven in three runs.
Alfred Brito has the lone home run. Sergio Leon and Mardu Smith have stolen nine bases.
Pitcher Wayland Moore has recorded 10 strikeouts in seven innings. Alex Thackston pitched five shutout innings on Sunday.
The series continues Friday through Sunday with a potential game seven to be scheduled.
