HUNTINGTON - Marshall University student-athletes continue making the grade.

The NCAA Academic Progress Rate standard to maintain postseason eligibility is a multi-year score of 930 and all 16 Thundering Herd teams met the mark in the latest report. The scores released Wednesday cover the 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years.

MU's Diffenderfer gets all-conference honor

Diffenderfer was named to the All-Conference USA second team selected by College Sports Madness.Diffenderfer, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound senior from Mount Juliet, Tenn., played for two seasons as the Marshall first baseman after a transfer from Columbia State Junior College.He batted .298 this season with four home runs, 30 runs batted in and 53 hits with 11 doubles and one triple. He was fourth in the conference with an on-base percentage of .402.As a fielder he had 402 putouts while making only five errors. Study at UAB says MU ticket sales up

HUNTINGTON - A recent study involving UAB football revealed that Marshall University was fifth in Conference USA in football season-ticket sales last year and one of only two league members with an increase in the 2014 season.
