Chesapeake wins in triple OT over Symmes Valley

September 12, 2009 @ 12:11 AM

WILLOW WOOD, Ohio -- Peter Hintz scored on a 14-yard run in the third overtime to lift Chesapeake to a thrilling 39-33 win over Symmes Valley on Friday night at Symmes Valley.

Jon Pinson picked off a Symmes Valley pass near the goal line on the third OT possession by the Vikings. That set the stage for Hintz and the Panthers to keep their winning streak alive against the Vikings. Friday's game was the 20th anniversary of the last Symmes Valley win in this rivalry.

"No one was stopping me," Hintz said of his third TD of the game. "This means a lot to us. Hopefully this gets us started."

Chesapeake came in 0-2 and Symmes Valley 2-0.

Chesapeake returns to action next Friday at Lucasville Valley. The Vikings visit Manchester.
