Huntington Prep tops Rio Grande JV
WILLOW WOOD, Ohio -- Huntington Prep got big games from Justin Coleman, James Jackson and Tre Erbye and rolled to a 99-69 win over the University of Rio Grande junior varsity basketball team on Tuesday night at Symmes Valley High School.
Erbye had 24 points, Coleman 22 and Jackson 21. Gorgui Dieng added 16 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked eight shots for the Express. Kevin Smith dished out 11 assists.
Huntington Prep's next game is 5:30 p.m. Saturday against Lexington Tates Creek at Sheldon Clark High School in Inez, Ky.
RIO GRANDE JV 33 36 -- 69: Michaels 23, Jacobs 5, Dudley 10, Kidwell 5, McDaniel 12, Deng 14.
