The Mullens, W.Va., native joined the Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. His jersey No. 10 was retired.

D'Antoni scored 1,227 career points which is 30th in Marshall history. He had 659 career assists, which is second in Herd records and set the school season record with 241 assists in 1971-72.

The 1971-72 team rose to No. 8 in The Associated Press rankings and played in the NCAA tournament. D'Antoni was also on the 1973 team that played in the National Invitation Tournament.
