Snyder, Slate, Spillman attending C-USA Football Media Blitz

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Marshall head coach Mark Snyder is joined by Thundering Herd players Cody Slate and C.J. Spillman today at the Conference USA Football Media Blitz.

The event is being held at the historic Peabody Hotel just off Beale Street where the famous Peabody ducks take daily walks through the lobby.

Coaches and players from each school are attending.C-USA media members will do interviews for season previews.

CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV) will have a live television show today from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with highlights, noted and interviews. The segment on Marshall is set to air at about 4:20 p.m. Carter Blackburn and Trev Alberts are hosting the show.

Players will visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Monday to meet patients and hand out T-shirts. St. Jude is recognized for its work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other diseases.

Slate, a junior tight end, and Spillman, a senior defensive back, were named to the C-USA preseason all-conference team.
