Point races tight at Ona Speedway
ONA -- Ona Speedway's stock car season is about at the halfway point and some tight points races have developed.
Late Model drivers Gary Arthur and Harvey Harrison are tied for first place in their class.
U Car leader Keith Watson holds a slim lead on Greg Napier.
Addison Means, Mason Dino and Nicole Workman are close in the Jr. U Car standings.
Last weekend's winners were Greg Carby (Late Model), Hubie Hatfield (Modified), Gary Queen (Hobby Stock), Means (Jr. U Car), Tim Tucker (Street Stock), Brian Adams (Classic) and Renee Watson (U Car).

Following is a look at each class:
LATE MODEL -- Gary Arthur and Harvey Harrison are tied for the lead with 680 points, but are chasing their first victory. Arthur has two second-place finishes and was third last weekend. Harrison also has two second-places and one third-place finish.
Greg Carby, a winner five times in six events, is chasing the leaders with 625 points.
Eric Manard also won a race.
MODIFIED -- Mike Cooper leads with 720 points. Cooper won the season opener and placed second in the last four events.
Thomas Mays (675) and Steve Mills (650) are chasing the leader.
Hubie Hatfield (495) is charging, with wins in the last three races.
STREET STOCK -- Tim Tucker leads with 705 points accumulated with four wins and one runner-up finish.
Patrick McClanahan (665), John Shaffer (645) and Steven Young (580) are in the chase. David Bell (425) and Matt Stephenson (205) both have victories.
JR. U CAR -- Points leader Addison Means (365) won two of the four features. Mason Dino (345), Nicole Workman (340) and J.R. Adkins (250) are chasing the leader. Adkins also has two wins.
U CAR -- Keith Watson has been steady at the top and leads with 695 points. Watson has one win, one second place and three third-place performances.
Greg Napier (675) also won a race.
Renee Watson, Chris Deskins, Jay Workman and Joe Workman won the other events.
HOBBY STOCK -- Kenny Chapman leads the way with 705 points. Chapman has two victories and three runner-up performances.
Chester Mays (645), Jason Skeens (640) and Gary Queen (605) are in contention. Queen won the last two events.
Other race winners were Bill Adkins and Mike Christy.
CLASSIC -- Points leader Rodney Snodgrass (675) has two victories and four runner-up finishes. Bill Wallace is second with 620 points.
Brian Adams (580), Jake Keaton (440), Jason Garrett (260) and Tom Bailey (235) all won races.
