HUNTINGTON -- Huntington Patriots won the USSSA 16-Under Baseball World Series championship in Kissimmee, Fla.

The Patriots downed the Charlotte (N.C.) Rage, 8-0, for the title.

Chris Weed drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double. Zack Sizemore hit a three-run home run.

Pitchers Jason Lewis, Michael Taylor and Brett Mayo combined for the win.

Catcher Grant Williams was named as most valuable player of the tournament. Patriots shortstop Drew Porter was named as the defensive player of the tournament.
