Jackson wins ARCA Truck race
ONA — Danny Jackson from Batavia, Ohio, picked up his second ARCA Truck Series win of the year Saturday night at Ona Speedway.
Jackson was fastest in qualifying, but the lineup of 13 trucks was inverted and he started at the rear before racing to the front in The Midland Trail 150, a 100-lap race on the 7/16-mile asphalt track.
Chad Poorman of Montpelier, Ohio, finished second and Cody Quarrick from Uniontown, Pa., was third.
Jackson won The Midland Trail 150 Pole Award — a handcrafted etched trophy made by Blenko Glass of Cabell County.
It was Jackson’s second pole award of the season. He was a double-winner May 11 in the Safety Kleen 100 season-opening race at Flat Rock Speedway in Michigan.
He also posted the fastest practice times in two Saturday afternoon practice sessions.
Jackson entered the day seventh on the series points list.
Poorman was the May 18 winner of the Grogan’s Town 50 at Toledo Speedway.
